Getting there...

Although there are many ways to get to Horto, the preferable one is by car, as it will allow you to visit other places on Pelion with ease. All transportation goes through the city of Volos, and then following the main Volos-Argalasti road alongside the sea. Horto is the first village 6km away from the town of Argalasti, towards the road going for the villages of Milina, Lafkos and Trikeri.

During the summer months there are frequent bus routes from Volos going through Horto. Specifically, buses depart daily from Volos at: 04:30 (except Sunday), 09:45, 12:15 (except Sunday), 14:30 and 16:30. Additionally there is a bas departing at 20:30 which stops at Argalasti. The return buses depart daily from the neighboring village Milina (and go through Horto) at 07:30 (Saturday only), 07:45 (except Sunday), 13:45 (except Sunday), 16:00, 18:00 and 19:30. You can find more information regarding the routes towards Pelion and other Greek cities, as well as book bus tickets online or through phone at www.ktelvolou.gr

International visitors can also choose to travel by plane. All flights occur on Thursdays and Sundays. The airports of Thessaloniki and Athina can also be used and are connected with volos through a 3 or 4 hour bus ride.
